Calumet Co. Courthouse Room 105A (next to Treasurer’s Office)
EVENING LOCATIONS:
all 5:00pm – 6:30pm
Monday, August 10 – New Holstein Town Hall
Wednesday, August 12 – Chilton Town Hall
Thursday, August 13 – Potter Village Hall

Full lab reports will be mailed to you in 5-7 weeks after the sample day. An education program will be held in October. Information will be provided to help you understand your results and ask questions.
TESTS AVAILABLE
HOMEOWNERS PACKAGE - $78
This kits is recommended annually and includes Coliform Bacteria, Nitrate, pH, Alkalinity, Hardness, Chloride, Conductivity, Corrosivity Index
METALS PACKAGE - $75
This kit is recommended every 5 years and includes Arsenic (Screen), Calcium, Copper, Iron, Lead (Screen), Magnesium, Manganese, Potassium, Sodium, Sulfur, Zinc
DACT SCREEN - $45
This kit tests for Atrazine and its byproducts. This kit is only RECOMMENDED if previous tests indicate nitrate levels above 10mg/L.

Still need to sample your well?
If you wish to sample your well, you may contact our office for a free kit. Lab fees for bacteria and nitrate testing are around $70. You can also order a kit to be mailed to you directly from UW Stevens Point Water and Environmental Analysis Lab (WEAL)

About the Program
Every year, Calumet County hosts a private well testing day with the support of local towns and villages. A private well should be sampled annually for bacteria at a minimum. This event provides the annual opportunity (and reminder) to "check-up" on your home's drinking water supply. Benefits of participating include the convenience of local bottle pick-up and drop-off, free shipping, and an education night held about six weeks after the event. The education night is an opportunity to learn how to read your results, as well as how to resolve any problems with your water, including plumbing, proper well maintenance, and at home-practices to improve your drinking water.
