With the end of the Wisconsin National Guard (WING) testing sites, Calumet County has secured ThedaCareMobile to administer COVID testing on an appointment basis.
Starting, Thursday, December 10, and the following Thursdays for the foreseeable future, Calumet County will be utilizing a new federal mobile testing asset being operated by ThedaCare. This “self-swab” and appointment-only registration process will operate at Christ the Rock Church Community Church from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., weather permitting. Christ the Rock Community Church is located at W6254 US-10/114, Menasha, WI 54952. Additional days and locations are being considered and may be added at a later date.
Calumet County Public Health and ThedaCare leaders have reiterated that to best manage community spread of COVID-19, testing and contact tracing are critical. Testing gives the County and health systems insight into the breadth and depth of those infected in our communities, and helps us better understand the spread of the virus.
The drive-through testing is free and is available to all community members experiencing symptoms, those who believe they may have been exposed to someone with COVID-19, and anyone who is worried about possibly having the virus. Individuals must pre-register online at doineedacovid19test.com, and do not need to be a ThedaCare patient to receive a test. Those seeking testing do not need to be a Calumet County resident. Individuals under 18 years old must have a parent or legal guardian present to consent to testing. Results will be given online, or through a phone call if necessary.
In addition to this mobile testing site, please visit our website, www.calumetcounty.org, for other testing options in our region.
