Emergency Management

Calumet County Emergency Management is a division within the Department of Administration. It is charged with creating the framework within which communities and organizations reduce vulnerability to hazards and more effectively cope with disasters. This is best achieved by involving the "Whole Community."

Per Wisconsin Chapter 323, our program seeks to promote safer, less vulnerable communities within Calumet County. This is done by reducing the harmful effects of natural and man-made disasters through effective preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation activities. We also strive to improve agency cooperation and communication, which is necessary to create a safer and more disaster-resilient county.
