About the Business Education Partnership (BEP)
The Calumet County Business Education Partnership (BEP) brings together local businesses, schools, and community leaders to prepare students for successful careers and strengthen our local workforce. Through collaboration with the CESA 6 Career Readiness Team, the BEP helps schools provide meaningful career and technical education, real-world learning opportunities, and support for students through programs such as Inspire WI and Youth Apprenticeship.
Our Mission
“A partnership connecting employers, schools, and parents to create opportunities for career exploration and relationship building; committed to social and economic growth within Calumet County.” By aligning classroom learning with the skills and experiences employers need, we empower students to make informed career choices and ensure that businesses have access to a skilled, ready, and local talent pipeline. Together, we build a stronger, more sustainable future for Calumet County.

● Ongoing collaboration and communication with schools, educators, and community leaders to shape meaningful career readiness opportunities.
● Hands-on involvement in programs such as Youth Apprenticeship and Inspire WI, where you can connect directly with students to share your expertise, offer mentorship, and showcase career pathways in your industry.
● Guidance and coordination from the CESA 6 Career Readiness Team, ensuring your participation is smooth, effective, and impactful.
● A shared sense of purpose and pride, knowing your business is helping to create real pathways for the next generation of Calumet County’s workforce.
Event Listing
The BEP plans career-based learning experiences for students and educators, ensuring alignment with high demand industries and regional workforce needs. Examples of these opportunities throughout the school year include:
● High School Educator Days - Let’s educators meet local businesses to learn about opportunities for students
● Career Experiences - Let’s students tour local businesses to learn about career opportunities including in Manufacturing, Healthcare, Public Safety, Construction, Human Services, and the field of Electromechanical Maintenance Technician
● Calumet Connect Event – A chance for students to hear from a panel of local businesses and explore career options
● Junior Leadership Calumet County – A series of events for a select group of area high school students designed to develop leadership skills
● UW Oshkosh Campus Experience
● Fox Valley Technical College: Appleton Campus Experience
● Mock Interviews – A chance for students to practice job interview skills and receive feedback
